Ljodahått back in Norway

“Ljodahått: norwegian climate.
Risk a dive into the strange atmosphere of Ljodahått.
A project totally off target,
Both crazy and patrimonial at the same time…”
Matthieu Conquet, Radio France

Logen opened as a concert hall on 18 November 1883.
The programme included works by Weber, Beethoven and Svendsen,
and concluded with Grieg’s Landkjenning (Land Sighting, op. 31, to words by Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson – the epitome of Norwegian national romanticism).
It was used as a concert hall and assembly room, and Grieg often performed there.
On 15 June 1903 he came to Logen, where he conducted his Peer Gynt Suite.

“Since I heard Ljodahått, it stays is my head for ever. Intriguing to hear how each song has its own character from chanson, folk, acoustic-metal-a-like to jazzy pop and eighties keyboard sound. From thatrical to soberness and from a dark edge to bright sunchine. All different but it all matches perfectly. Each song has its own atmosphere and not only the lyrics but also the instruments seem to tale a unique story”

LJODAHÅTT – IS NOT EXACTLY A NORDIC POETIC FOLK ROCK BAND
