Einar Skjæraasen born July 23, 1900 in Trysil, died 18 June 1966 in Oslo was a poet from the hamlet Skjæråsen in Eastern Trysil. He was educated banker and lived in Oslo.
He debuted in 1936 with the poetry collection Reflectors, and after that he published regularly poetry.
Typical of his poems is that they reflected the everyday life of love, struggle, hardships and happiness. In poetry collection Danse my view, cry my song, all the poems are written in Trysil dialect, after which he wrote only in this dialect. He then met a larger audience and his books were repeatedly sold out.
